Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for using Cybrshield responsibly and lawfully.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the conduct required of everyone who uses the Cybrshield platform (the "Service"), operated by Cyberlight Ltd. It forms part of, and is subject to, our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Service to:

  • violate any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate any unlawful activity;
  • deploy, distribute, or operate malicious software, or use the Service to facilitate a cyberattack against any person or system;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to, probe, or attack any system, network, account, or data that you are not authorised to access — whether ours or a third party's;
  • interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Service or the systems that support it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties except as expressly permitted in writing;
  • circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, seat limits, billing, or other usage or access controls;
  • make excessive or abusive use of our APIs or infrastructure, including automated use that places an unreasonable load on the Service;
  • infringe the intellectual-property or other rights of any person, or upload content or data you do not have the right to submit.

3. Authority to Deploy on Endpoints

Where you deploy the Service to devices — including where you deploy it to endpoints you manage on behalf of third parties, for example as a managed service provider — you are responsible for holding the necessary rights, authority, and consents to install and operate the Service and to process the associated data. You must not deploy the Service to any device you are not authorised to manage.

4. Responsible Use of Automation and AI

The Service can allow or deny software execution automatically, based on your policies and on AI and threat-intelligence outputs that are probabilistic and may be incorrect. You choose whether to enable automation and at what scope, and you are responsible for the outcomes of the automated decisions you configure. You must not rely on the Service as your sole security control, and you remain responsible for maintaining layered defences and current backups, as described in the Terms of Service.

5. Consequences of Violation

We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and may suspend or terminate access to the Service, remove offending content or configurations, or take other appropriate action, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe this AUP has been breached or that continued use poses a risk to the Service, to us, or to others.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you become aware of any use of the Service that breaches this AUP, please report it to us at [email protected] or via our contact page.

7. Changes & Governing Law

We may update this AUP from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. This AUP is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
