Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Cybrshield.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Cybrshield platform, including our website, management portal, and software agents (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including individuals using the free tier and organisations on a commercial plan. They apply whether you use the Service as a business or as an individual consumer. Where you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights you have that cannot be excluded or limited by law. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Cybrshield provides an AI-powered application control and allowlisting platform for Windows devices. The Service enables organisations and individuals to define policies that govern which applications may execute on managed endpoints.

The Service includes a cloud-based management portal, a lightweight Windows agent deployed to endpoints, policy management tools, and associated APIs.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the Service
  • Use the Service to deploy malicious software or facilitate cyberattacks
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without express written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

5. Plans and Payment

Cybrshield is free for non-commercial use and for commercial organisations managing up to 5 devices. Commercial use beyond this threshold requires a paid subscription. Current pricing is published on our Pricing page.

All prices are listed exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is due in accordance with the billing cycle selected at the time of subscription. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, content, trademarks, and materials provided through the Service are the intellectual property of Cybrshield or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials.

You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service, including policy configurations and endpoint telemetry. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process this data as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for configuring policies and enforcement mode (audit vs enforce) appropriately for your environment, and for reviewing the effect of policies before relying on them in production.
  • You remain responsible for maintaining independent, layered security controls and for keeping current backups. The Service is one control in a defence-in-depth strategy, not a substitute for one.
  • Where you deploy the Service to endpoints you manage on behalf of third parties (for example, as a managed service provider), you are responsible for having the necessary rights, authority, and consents to do so.

8. No Guarantee of Security; Agent Operation

No security product is 100% effective. You acknowledge that no application-control or security product can detect, block, or prevent all malware, threats, unauthorised software, or attacks, and that we do not warrant or guarantee that the Service will prevent any particular execution, breach, infection, data loss, or damage.

The Service installs a kernel-mode driver and system software. As with any such software, defects, updates, or incompatibilities could affect the stability, availability, or performance of a device or fleet. We are not liable for such effects except to the extent they result from our failure to exercise reasonable skill and care, and subject to the Limitation of Liability section below.

9. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Decisions

The Service uses artificial-intelligence and threat-intelligence techniques to help classify software and resolve requests. These outputs are probabilistic and may be incorrect — they may wrongly allow software that is harmful (a false negative) or wrongly block or flag software that is legitimate (a false positive).

Where you enable automated resolution, the Service may allow or deny software execution automatically, without human review, based on your policies and these outputs. You choose whether to enable automation and at what scope. You are responsible for the outcomes of automated decisions you have configured, and we recommend human review of decisions that are material to your operations.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any AI or threat-intelligence output, and you should not rely on it as your sole basis for a security decision. AI and threat-intelligence processing uses file metadata and hashes; client file content is not transmitted for this purpose.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including threat-intelligence and AI providers, payment processing, and hosting. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or acts of those providers, and their processing may be governed by their own terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties and conditions, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, secure, or will meet your requirements. This section does not limit the statutory rights of a consumer that cannot be excluded by law — see the Limitation of Liability section below.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. If you use the Service as a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015) are unaffected, and the limitations below apply only to the extent permitted for consumers.

Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings, or loss of or corruption of data, however arising, even if advised of the possibility.

Subject to the first paragraph of this section, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, shall in no circumstances exceed:

  • where you use the Service under a free (no-fee) plan, £100 (one hundred pounds sterling) in aggregate; or
  • where you use the Service under a paid plan, £250 (two hundred and fifty pounds sterling) in aggregate.

The applicable amount is a single, total ceiling on all claims combined — it is not a per-device, per-incident, per-claim, or annual figure — and, save for the tier distinction set out above, applies regardless of the fees you have paid.

You acknowledge that the fees (including the free tier) reflect this allocation of risk, and that these limitations are a fundamental basis of the agreement between us.

13. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cybrshield and Cyberlight Ltd against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use section; (b) your unlawful use of the Service; (c) data or content you submit; or (d) your deployment of the Service to endpoints of third parties without the necessary rights or consents. This section does not apply to a consumer except to the extent permitted by law.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account or via a notice in the management portal.
